ok so I still haven’t finished this chapter but I did read some more and I really liked this section and took a lot of screenshots AND completely forgot it from last time so. continuing on from where we left off, with keiichi successfully murdering that guy.

things get so weird and confusing here! it’s awesome!! i know so many of the answers to this story and still kind of have no idea what is going on. if keiichi was out all night killing that dude, why does everyone remember him being fun and carefree at the festival?? and worse, ERMMM why is satoko’s uncle still fucking alive???

i think this is maybe the scariest scene so far. just really chilling to come out of all the time and energy and effort keiichi spent killing this guy and covering up the crime and not only was that whole ordeal extremely stressful but now it turns out it didn’t do anything to save satoko at all. fuck!!!

I am going to speculate with some spoilery answer info that I have but the first time reader would not, here

so yeah keiichi is feeling sick and goes to the clinic to get checked out and ends up pouring his heart out to This Fuckin Guy

anyway This Fuckin Guy has an interesting conversation with keiichi about the murder keiichi remembers doing and the fact that he doesn’t remember being at wataganashi last night. keiichi insists he remembers the murder vividly and is pretty closed to the possibility that he may be misremembering things or confused. but TFG suggests a harrowing explanation: maybe keiichi didn’t kill satoko’s uncle but accidentally killed someone else. he also gives keiichi some intel about uncle - supposedly he has a big tattoo on his back. keiichi resolves to go dig up the body of his victim so he can look for the tattoo on his back, which he says seems like the less scary option as opposed to going to satoko’s house and just seeing if her uncle is really there. i get it though. seeing her uncle there would really suck

I just confessed to murder. …Normally that would frighten a person away. …But Coach didn’t run - he cried with me.

keiichi’s gay little feelings for coach are short lived though. he overhears coach telling the nurses to put sedatives in keiichi’s drink. turns out he does think keiichi is crazy. keiichi is a lot more heartbroken about this than i expected, but i think there’s something really interesting to be said so far about his male role models - dad (weird guy, harmless(?) pervert), ooishi (cop, manipulative, harmless(?) pervert), and coach (weird guy, harmless(?) pervert). i don’t know what the interesting thing to say here is really it’s just. hm. can someone please give this boy a more normal father figure.

keiichi also finds out takano just turned out dead and starts really freaking the fuck out now. freaking the fuck out as in… deluding himself even deeper into his power trip.

Ku-ku-ku-ku…!! Yes, maybe it wasn’t Oyashiro-sama, but this was definitely a spell, a curse…! I wished for her to die. So she did!! If this wasn’t just a coincidence…. and she died because I wished for it… then you’ll die next coach!!!

and that’s where we left off! keiichi hasn’t dug up his victims corpse yet but im very curious (and can’t remember) to see if he really did kill satoko’s uncle or someone else. my gears are turning… how can this all be possible with what i know? HMMM…
